Often, people attach a stigma to mental health or mental wellbeing. The fact is that we all encounter positive and negative impacts to our mental wellness over the human life-course in this society and there is no shame in that. There is good science to support how environmental stressors can alter your overall state. The Plymouth Public Health Department is making efforts with community-based organizations that effectively identify how the population is encountering and how to effectively cope with stress in their natural, social, and physical or built environments. We are working to remove the stigma in the Town of Plymouth population that increases the culture and awareness within the Town across the human life-course.
